Legend has it that in ancient times the apostle Paul landed precisely in these lands, and then decided to face his own spiritual retreat in the hinterland of Gallura. Now, daily connections depart from Porto San Paolo to reach the waters of the marine reserve of Tavolara and the other smaller islands. For those wishing to stay on the “mainland”, there are many alternatives available to spend a wonderful day at the beach, and from Punta Corallina to Porto Taverna you will be spoiled for choice.
