This stretch of coast is located in an inlet created by the river mouth of the “Riu di San Giovanni”. Cannigione, a district of Arzachena, was originally a fishing village; now its promenade sees the presence of a well-equipped tourist port. Near the village, we find many beaches such as the enchanting Cala dei Ginepri and Le saline, not far from each other. The centre of Arzachena, which is less than ten kilometres from the sea, fully represents the style of the Costa Smeralda, with its characteristic pink granite and white stones that outline the architecture of the houses, surrounded by green spaces, clubs and craft shops overflowing with Sardinian delicacies. Do not miss the natural oasis of the Padula Saloni pond, a true avifauna paradise that birdwatchers will certainly appreciate.
DISCOVER THE BEACHES
The beach is a very fragile natural ecosystem. We recommend: not to take away sand, stones or shells, because they are the material the beach is made of; not to trample or tear up the dune vegetation because it is what protects the beach; respect all forms of life because the beach is their home, we are their guests.
